roof bars
Hi all, looking for roof bars for my van, don't really fancy the big adjustable ones just a pair of single height ones to fix to the gutter rail, does any one know of any that fit ?
Any ideas would be very much appreciated

Re: roof bars
Nice set up, done a great job there, do think that set up will fit a tin top ? i need about 7" clearance from gutter to bottom of bar to clear the roof.

Re: roof bars
Hi, because i'm going to bolt the bars to a aiba works roof basket, unfortunately the original fitting are to low and makes the basket touch the roof and so 7" should give me enough clearance. If anyone else has done this would love to see some pics...

Re: roof bars
Automaxi make a set of brackets and some very strong bars (they even list our vans in the catalogue !) I've got 4 fitted bought as 2 pairs off ebay for about £1 a pair. You want the VS series brackets.

Plenty of clearance for clamping round underneath for roof boxes & baskets. There's 7.5 inches from the bottom of the bracket to the underside of the bars and a good 2 inches clearance a the highes point of the roof.
If you're in a rush you can buy them new for around £60 a pair, just google "automaxi roof bars caravelle"

Sorry, I really don't know, I've only ever seen a set of pop top brackets once when I collected a set LHD had won on ebay and didn't pay much attention to them....
I'm sure you could fabricate something to fit though

Re: roof bars
Ok cheers for that, they are so much cheaper than thule. And I think they look better, more utilitarian
