Best deal on a leisure battery?

We already have a leisure battery in place but it might be toward the end of it's life...? (and I am really not sure how to tell a 'leisure battery' from a 'regular' one, so I am guessing)
The battery is mounted behind the drivers seat and visible.

Is your van a diesel ??? if not is it left hand drive???? if its neither of these the battery you can see is probs your vehicle battery and not the leisure one!!

Just to add my two penneth worth, I thought my fridge was not working too, I was ready to take it out and "SERVICE" it .

I was reading up on here before I removed it and it suddenly dawned on me I hadn't placed much effort into getting the van level when testing my fridge. So I went out and ensured the van was as level as possible using a spirit level and a glass of water in the fridge (which had a handy ring around it to check the levels against). Viola my fridge was working perfectly.

So please make sure that you have tried the fridge when the van is level, my drive has only a slight slope but this was enough to stop the fridge working correctly.

This could be a factor...thinking about it. The best result from the fridge was 4 weeks ago for a weekend on hard standing pitch. It was cold but still not freezing though.

Then last week we were on a pretty un-even campsite.

I just presumed the one I saw behind my drivers seat was the leisure battery...

And because your van is a diesel, you are correct

For some reason petrols and diesels are different regards battery position. Diesels have it in the engine bay (sensible) and petrols have it under the front seat (not sure which one) for some reason.

Just add one thing: A Kev stated, do not be worried about running on gas - just fit a CO2 detector (like a smoke alarm).
