Hi guys,
Am I right to presume both petrol and diesel use the same clutch slave cylinder? and that the holding bracket is the only difference?

AFAIK, the various brands of slave vary slightly in construction but are interchangable petrol/diesel. The ones to go for have a metal reinforcement around the socket. The petrol and diesel brackets differ (but not the stay I think).

Re: clutch slave cylinder brackets diesel, petrol
Thankyou gentlemen, very much appreciated, what I have is a choice of both brackets, but am using an old diesel bell housing I understand.
Incedentally, tried putting new oil in the box after re-fitting the diff assembly,2.5 litres at least came out but can only get it to take 1Litre back in.
What am I doing wrong?
