It might be an idea to start and have the van serviced, the fact you've only just looked at the engine after almost a year would imply you haven't changed the oil either ?

Ive hand the van a year but its not been used much as I've not had a place to park it until last week. Its spend most of its time at a relatives house.
Ive just done new oil, oil filter, HT leads, dizzy cap, brake servo vacuum hose (kinked) and oil breather pipe (perished).
I'm hoping start using her properly this year, seeing as though I can now keep her where im actually living!
