Brickwerks ones are supplied by ClassicParts and are refurbished in Austria by I think STEC, part of Magna Powertarain (ie Steyr) who also refurbish the landrover freelander ones, I recently supplied a batch of core VCs to Classic
STEC used to refurbish our gearboxes for VW and that's where the stash of gearbox parts that Classic have came from, also where Yager bought a lot of his stock from
You'd have to ask Yager the question over what's the difference
Syncrospares were selling refurbished VCs done by the grumpy man in Switzerland, not sure if they have any left, you can also deal direct with Walter if you want to, or better still get Paul to visit him again

As it was a cultural, trade and diplomatic mission unfortunately I am unable to divulge that information and it may even be an ecumenical matter

I'll err on the side of caution and get mine through Brickwerks.
PS For the benefit of us newcomers, who is the "grumpy swiss" anyway?
