i have recently had my clutch master cylinder replaced as i had brake fluid leaking on the floor of the drivers footwell but it is still leaking brake fluid,
does anyone know why? im guessing it must be a pipe thats split or somthing but it seems to drip from a bolt thats just behind the brake pedal, looks like the bolt used to have a washer on it that has now partly ripped off,
anyone else had or have this problem and how did you fix it?im going to take it back to the mechanic who replaced the master cylinder but i just wanted to be able to explain to him wot was going on

Could it be the brake master leaking...?

Re: brake fluid leaking -already replaced master cylinder
I changed mine for the same reasons recently and had exactly the same problem, The old Clutch Cylinder was definitly knackered but I still had a leak from somewhwere after replacing it. Turned out to be the Banjo union leaking cos on the new GSF clutch Master Cylinder the union bolt does not screw in as far as on the old original cylinder before bottoming out in the thread, therefore leaving a slight gap for fluid to leak through. Took me ages to realise what was going on, then I found I could not source new copper washers from anywhere. Eventually scrounged a couple of used ones so now mine has 4 fitted, Cured the leak though. Have since found out that Halfords do a selection box of them which would last most of us 6 lifetimes!
Best of luck!

It would have been easier to take a bit off from the bottom of the bolt!
