2.1 DJ cutting out then difficult to restart

Hi

My 2.1i DJ has started cutting out and then becoming difficult (sometimes) to restart. It has always fired up first time (almost).
Can anyone please tell me where the fuel filter is (a picture would be helpful) as i thought i would look at this first ( unless someone out there can suggest other places to look).

hi mate,
on a rhd van, you should find a uel filter in or around the driver side wheel arch. but the easiest way is to get on your back under the van and follow the fuel line from the tank......and once you have found it, work your way to the back of the bus and the engine bay and check you haven't got any more.

that's how mine is anyway....but it was a 1.9 dg....now a 2.1 but on the 1.9 carb.

Mine is half way along the drivers side, big silver thing, you cant miss it.

There you go - yours as a 2.1 injection is different from the carbed models...I have a small plastic thing, with paper inside.

Today I have learnt something.

WARNING!!!
the petrol supply system on a FI is potentially pressurised, be very carefull disconnecting any of it, you can expect petrol to exit fastly from any pipe you disconnect , take extra care.

i think if you do a search on the subject there is much to read......

YEP, de-pressurise the system by cracking open the small bleed screw on the '4-way split piece' in the engine bay first, then re-tighten.

although if you dont run the engine in 24 hours, theres probably zero pressure left anyway. but be careful all the same!
