the gold fish bowl works perfectly, no more darlic caps for me :D

so all back in and working, now i am a happy bunny, real nice to drive the power is constance and predictable, just needs a little tweak with the carb to fine tune everything, gonna drive it around for a week or so and then take it to a rolling road and get every thing set up properly.

right so after a month of driving around, i have to report that i am more than happy with the performance, only problem is that the newly replaced water pumps bearings are making a funny sound, :x so gave the people at euro car part a grilling today and they a gong to replace it with a new OE one for for no charge. and replace throw in 8l of coolant, got to drain down to change the pump. so it is only time that this is gonna cost me.

also the exhaust has been a side exit up to date, and sets of quite alot of car alarms even when driving with ease, i have found that mini's alarms are easy to set of. also the the sound would reinate every time that you drove past parked cars or solid walls etc, it just kind of pissed me off and i soon tired of it, so i went to my local hot rod man how makes some amazing stuff and had a rummage in his waste/off cuts of exhaust section. and hay presto there was a section that fitted the bill. the sound is now behind the van not bouncing of every thing to the side. still got a nice fruty when you give it the beans not lot nicer to drive,

neatly tucked up but can be removed in a couple of mins if the going gets a little rough.
