Air filter hot air pickup on exhaust....

Post by 1_eyed_jim »

Trying to order a replacement exhaust system for the van and i'm a bit confused...

On my V5 Document it states my engine type is DG.
Been on Just Kampers website and the exhaust (rear) for that engine code has a air filter hot air pickup on it???
The one on my van looks like the one Just Kampers state is ONLY for engine codes DJ.

Have i got the wrong exhaust fitted or am i missing some connections for this air filter hot air pickup thingy????

Thanks

It's not nesessary to have this hot air pick up
it is really for extreem cold weather of the Nordic type

Mine has been missing for years now

Thanks Kev....this means a replacement exhaust is only £75 at GSF comapared to the other version £120! Have e-mailed GSF though about the finish on the exhaust etc. Had any experience?

Thanks again

with 2.1 exhausts some if not all of the parts used larger bore pipes than the 1.9, its possible they had different hot air take offs as well

2.1(dj) were the same shape tho as dg(1.9)

1.9 (df) early used a simpler cheaper system

i think parts peeps have just simplified the setup with just 2 systems , early and late
