Hi im in need (again ) iv just popped out to take some measurements and the sliding door has jammed solid when fully opened...panick stations
well i managed to get it shut after figuring out that the wheel which runs along the runner at the rear of the door has broken off in bits.
Could anyone give me any directions/advise on how i would go about resolving this please?

Re: Sliding door help please
You really must tell us which year van you have when posting
try putting it in your signature.
if it's a late door does it look like this

Brickwerks have what you need, I guess you missed them when you were looking for them there.

Re: Sliding door help please
Hi and thanks for reply.. sorry the year of the van is 1990
I found the bearings on Brickwerks and will be ordering some from them asap (theres a £14 one which is supposed to be a good upgrade for the bottom aswell).
I checked Brickwerks after posting sorry i was all in a panick as i thought i wouldnt be able to secure the van for the night, had i not managed to close the thing after some serious effort.
Am i right in saying that the job of replacing the bearings is not that difficult ie matter of two screws to take off panel that exposes the runner to get to the bearing?
Its just that im really pressed for time atm as i have an assignment that im working on at present.
Thanks for your help!

Re: Sliding door help please
Take the door off
remove the old runner
theres a gap on the track to refit the door
refit the door no adjustment needed
I wouldnt fit the bottom one until you need to,
if youre pressed for time just change the runner
put your van year in as well

Re: Sliding door help please
Dont forget that you dont need to completely remove the door, just lift it off the middle runner and support door on an axle stand, change bits and lift up and rehang

Re: Sliding door help please
All done thanks again ...
Third bolt had me for a while on the middle hinge going into door (didnt see it with door card on )
Both rollers had disintegrated and had to cut off the remnants off them from the little upright posts.
Jobs a goodn
