ive just had to remove the idle cutoff valve from my van to see if its working properly, now ive just screwed it back in and i cannot remember how it was screwed in the first time, does it matter how it goes in or does it just have to be screwed in any way?

im getting ther slowly but surely but by now ive been under my van so many times and had alot of the parts in bits in front of me so im confident that its all good and atleast im getting used to fixing my own van

Seeing as mine was held in with an elastic band when I had my cu....the fact that it screws in and stays there must be a bonus!!
Mine screwed in.....but gradualy came lose while driving....was an interesting driving experience....
I wish I could answer your question properly.....but as far as I remember it simply screwed in.
Sure one of the Aircooled boys will be along for a proper answer!

It just screws in. Don't go mad and try to put it in too tight because it's a fine thread and it'll strip easily.
2ltr Aircooled CU with twin Solex's & originally a 009 dizzie, but now back to standard.
