First camp in the van

Post by Si_P »

Having got the van at the end of the summer events conspired against any camping up to this point. (did use the van to move home however)

But the moment has arrived and me and the wife will be testing the van out before taking our daughter away over easter.

We are off to Sumners Ponds in sussex and really looking forward to a bit of a chill out after a few stressful weeks.

Bring on the weekend

First time out was an absolute joy.

The site was very nice, polite staff, beautiful location. If you like to fish there are lake side plots (with a match lake) I don't fish but seeing these plots I was tempted to start...

The village (Barns Green) was great a good local shop 5min walk for all the bits we forgot (steep learning curve) and a really good local pub again 5 min walk serving all the good local ales.

Van did us proud now looking forward to our first trip with our little one.

High recommendations for the site.

Glad you had a good time - looks ruddy great! I can't believe you can park up so close to the lake, fishing out of the van a distinct possibility!?!?

We go off in the van with our 2-1/2 year old and she loves it, looks very sad when we have to pack down and come home.

Happy trails

Dan
