Mmmm, mildew ...you bcould treat it waith spray bleach , but that staining will remain (though less obvious) Caused by damp and poor ventilation. You really need to pop the roof up every now and again and check you have no leaks causing damp on the canvas. As for the conversion it looks like either a Devon or even danbury conversion (roof)

Hi,
Doesn't look like a devon roof, the roof vents are in the wrong place, and the sticky up bits go across on a devon, not along, if that makes sense. Also the shape of the canvas just doesn't look right for a devon.

Proud to pop

and campershop
http://campershop.co.uk/elevating-roof.htm

do new canvas, but they are not cheap. Like you said though you'd need to find out what roof you have. Either of those companies might be able to tell you though if you email them a picture?
Hope it cleans off OK and you don't need any of this

i've used dettol mould and mildew remover before. works a treat - mild leach, doesnt bleach the colour of the fabric. Spray on, leave and then rinse the next day!

Hi,

I used this stuff: http://www.lakeland.co.uk/mould-remover/F/product/20284 (HG Mould Spray from Lakeland in case the link doesn't work) on mine and it seems to have worked an absolute treat. Of course, if the fabric disintegrates on this weekend's first camping trip of the year I may not be so happy.

It's also great for mouldy walls in the house - first stuff we've tried that actually works!

Cheers.
Oof!

I think that's a Danbury roof - does it/did it have electric lift fitted (motor on the hinge side in the middle, with heavy duty windscreen wiper style enclosed cables going to each end)

no lift imafraid, just manpower? but imthinking its more than likely to be a danbury rather than the devon as itseems bigger, but tellme more about the motor tolift the roof, that has got me intrested?????? And ive been and bought the detol mildew remover, so i'll try this andif all else fails, theni'll try the lakeside option, thanks for all your help guys, muchly appriciated..
