Rear bench seat/ bed

Post by Wavehead »

Sad day for me ... just sold my bus to my best mate

He has a yound child and I have advised them that they will need to replace the ageing wooded bench seat/bed with one suitable for travelling.
Can anyone recomend a suitable replacement please? (needs to be safe). Photos would be great thanks Keith

I posted on another thread (Fitting 3 point belts to a R+R bed) the other day that I think the Suzuki Wagon R rear seats would make a good alternative rear seat, Comes with head restraints, folds flat and is the same width as a 3/4 R+R bed, can be split folded Cheap to get from local scrapyards cos of limited demand (maybe) I paid £10 for a pair of really good ones, they are even a close upholstery match for the existing interior. You would still need 3 point belts though.

Not fitted yet, I've got to fit the 3 point belts first then will look into how to fit them, sure to involve some sort of making up of brackets etc.
