3 point seat belts.

Hi.
I note there's been a few posts in the past about members wanting 3 point seat belts fitted to their rock and roll beds without cutting holes in their cupboard doors or furniture.
Just to let you know I've had a new 3 point seat belt fitted, on the cupboard side! without any holes being cut! and it works a treat. The company was Seatbelt services, North London. They have a web site and said they have fitted belts to lots of T25.
Just thought I'd share the info incase you hadn't heard of them before.

£138 + VAT.
Price included fitting. Free mobile service within the M25 but I paid extra for them to come to me (Brighton area) as I couldn't get time off work.
Nice friendly Russian chap came and fitted it.

Clever design. They replaced the socket and lap belt for two new sockets. Bolted to the anchor points under the bed. Then fixed a new autobelt reel on rear nearside piller. To create a new mounting point, they bolted some thick metal plates with welded nuts onto the van, behind the rear air grill, and the belt reel is bolted to that.
The belt spans across the boot space and clicks into the 2 sockets, thus creating a very secure 3 point harness.
The boot space is still usable, but only up the the height of the back rest - and lets face it, you're not wanting to fill it to the ceilling anyway.

When you need to use the bed - unclip from the 2 sockets, and the belt recoils out of the way.
I'm a big lad, and really have put a lot of effort into pulling it off the wall - and it won't budge.

Also if you live north of the Thames, there is a specialist company called Quickfit (the proper spelling) in Stanmore Middlesex. They fitted some 3 point rear belts for me in my T2. They did an excellent job.

Yep that's the one.
Van going to the garage for tires, tracking etc tomorrow so I'll take some over the weekend and post them.

Would love to see how it is done as I'm about to have a go myself, Also has anyone got any ideas about head restraints with a Rock and Roll bed. I have an idea around making up a sort of 'Dog guard ' affair bolted to the overhead locker and down below the R+R to the engine bulkhead. (Mines a Hightop) This would not be fixed to the R+R but would prevent it from collapsing backwards in the event of rear end shunt and would be quickly removable when camping up. I also noticed that Suzuki Wagon R rear seats (we could call them 'Wagen R' seats!) look as if they may be a great rear seat alternative, I just bought a couple in really good condition for £10 from a local scrapyard. Virtually the same width as a 3/4 Rock and Roll bed and fold flat to put cushions onto to make a bed.
