Hi my first post on here and read lots of information on here and Wiki and i must say there is alot of support and fans of the T25! I myself have got the "bug" and have started a project on a neglected 1986 1.9 DG T25. I have just changed the fuel tank as the old one was knackered and fuel was sloshing out of the top grommets if i went over half a tank due to a broken 'T' piece. Anyway after much enjoyment of that job and successfully completed the job with some ptfe tape and electrians tape holding the 'T' piece together (as i couldn't get new). ANYWAY my question is...is it normal for the engine power to hesitate when you press the accelerator and even sometimes lose power for a second then take off? It's like turbo lag????
Sorry if i've bored some of you to tears! I could of made this post a lot shorter but thought i'd tell you some background first...
Thanks
Rob

Re: Normal Running??
Hiya, welcome to the forum
If the tank's been leaking cr@p can also get in, change the inline filter near the tank outlet and make sure there's no water in the system ... the filler neck rubber flange is a common fault.
The phrase 'Engine Power' is not normally used in conjunction with a T25 and may take some getting used to

Hesitation on hard acc may also be due to the acc pump diaphagm being split.

Re: Normal Running??
look down the venturi whilst operating the throttle (engine off), you should see a good spray of fuel from the excellerator pump nozel.
Your engine mixture changes depending on conditions, pulling away excellerating demands a richer mixture and so manufacturers typically fitted this extra device to fulfill that need.
Also
I have seen this type of symtom caused by a faulty vacuum advance unit (split diaphram)
