Van will not tick over, cuts out when i slow down

Hi Dave,
I have been reading your thread about your carb last year, and wondered how you got on with the cutting out problem? because I've a brand new weber fitted (1 week old) and got nothing but grief with it and I'm going to take it off tomorrow and put the Pierburg back on! All, I had initially was an annoying flat spot and 2 mechanics told me I needed a new carb, but the probs are far worse now than before, my van cuts out at higher revs.

So just wandered what the out come was on your van, because mine is a DG engine too
