Rubber for U channel.
I am trying to source the rubber peice that goes into the U channel on the sliding door guide, can anyone either let me know what it is called or where I could get one from, as I have looked at every picture of a seal at JK and have typed black rubber into the search engine far too many times than is necessary while at work ! Thankyou very much for the help in the mean time.

Do you mean where the top mount runs inside the van?
If so my van never had one on but if you want one wvheritge sell it http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_act_shop.p ... try_GB.htm
Or do you mean the seal on the middle sliding door rail cover? (i think it may be available cheaper from a VW commercial deal No. 281-843-799)

Re: Rubber for U channel.
Thanks guys for taking the time to reply, but a very kind woman at Alan Schofield held my hand through the order and I now have the bit I want which was the door seal for the sliding door. I am not near the van and that is my excuse for not being able to picture it properly!
Thanks again though.

John that's where the sliding door seal goes. It runs around the whole opening.
www.vwemporium.co.uk sell genuine seals for about £47 (also via ebay search for vw T25 sliding door seal £51 posted)
or www.ahschofield.co.uk sell non genuine ones for £35 plus post

Re: Rubber for U channel.
Can you buy this U channel on its own or is it part of the outer sill?

Re: Rubber for U channel.
Easy enough to make your own or fix the seal direct with Sikaflex/Soudaseal/Tigerseal etc. Half of my u-channel had disappeared so used Soudaseal, this removes the rust trap of the u-channel also.
