Ermie's interior

Post by ermie571 »

For those that are thinking about a DIY interior...here's some pics for you. Its all done on a budget and with mates, and with offcuts from b&q (drop in regularly, see what's available), cooker hob was £5 from ebay - oven an 80-90 freebie. Mate has a workshop at work that we can use in the evening...and his mate has a lovely band saw for precision cutting! Made the draw myself at home....gotta do a couple more! Corners will curve, and spruce ply worksurface will be varnished (yes - that was a cheapo offcut!! and not quite deep enough...so a 2" piece will be glued on the back....)

Pimp daddy - Curtains - no worries. Seriously, when you are ready we will hunt down some purple material on the bay of fleas.....got some light purple crushed velvet at home....ooooeeer missus. Then if you already have curtains, send them down, and I will use them as a pattern (and they become the lining - I kinda wrap them inside the new curtains, so they are 3 layers thick!

Andronicus - the cheek of it!!!!

Thanks for the positive repsonses guys!

Right....do I paint the oven and hob with enamel paint?

she is a red van....with grey interior material (the rock and roll covers are temporary - her proper stuff indoors)

so - red with grey highlight....grey with red...all grey...all red....

or black.

Photoshop tonite me thinks

Flickr is the defacto standard. People run photo communities off it - Campervan groups, VW groups, all sorts.

And Em already has an account. No need to spend time downgrading.
