crystal headlights?

Post by Cyrus »

I've seen some vans around with round crystal headlights.
I've searched Google but can't find any.
Do golf mk2 ones fit or can they be made to fit easily? Or are they a different size?
Cheers :run

Golf mk2 can be made to fit. I know as I have done it but, you have to weld new mounting brackets to the lights which isnt that easy as sounds as there still complete!!!

New v's old!

I'm about to do another set. Not difficult, just fiddly if you haven't done it before.

Thanks for the pick, I'm quite handy with the welder so will have a go.
Sounds like a challenge to go with my LED rear lights when I get around to it.

Its getting dark early so really thinking about this upgrade now.
I've seen some onfleabay for £40 for a pair ( sounds cheap to me) but they're lhd, the ad says easily converted to rhd ( I thought the lenses etc were completely different)
Any ideas on this mod or where do you get yours from?
Cheers cy

Mine are left hookers and have stayed that way. a strategic placement of a bit of sparky tape on mot day is all that is needed. I know what people are going to say but they look cool. 8) You can rotate the lenses by 20 degrees or so and they will pass as RHD.

What's the beam like at night? Can you see the kerb or do they point to the center of the road?
I really like the look of them and it'll work out cheaper than hella/ vw
