Worrying find under van, electric hook up!!
Hi all, I have also posted a reply in the tech forum for this, but want to catch as many of you as I can, this photo is the state of the hook up point under my van attached to the floorpan. As you can see the terminals have gone rusty but look carefully and you can see where the live has been arcing across the the earth as the screws are close together and water has been clearly getting in Please if yours is under your van exposed to all the water and crap thrown up from the rd, check it is water tight and safe I wont clearly be putting this back on, but am also going to change over to one on the side in a case like the westie has. Remember this is prior to your consumer unit so no protection from your RCD, hopefully the site point you are connected to would trip and protect you, but are still some out there with no rcd as they rely on you havin one in your unit. Be safe out there please. Sorry for the double post but wanted as many as poss to see this. Poops
