Hi everyone. Being new to the Campervan world, we recently bought a T25 Autohomes conversion (and loving it). However, she was bought back from Japan by her previous owners and had a Japanese gas bottle and fitting. We have changed the gas bottle and our friendly camper/caravan shop suggested changing the gas hose as well.
Does anyone have any tips on the easiest way to do this or any advice - we haven't actually run anything off of the gas yet as we keep ending up at campsites with electrical hookup but we are planning a trip to a site that does not have any electrical hookup, so need to keep the beer cold in the fridge by using gas and don't fancy blowing ourselves up because we've been a bit thick when it comes to changing the hose.
Oh, anybody who is new to T25s - check the top of your petrol tank. We were told that they tend to rot on the top but it was still a bit of a shock when ours let go (while being filled) and our local Tesco store wasn't too thrilled about us closing their forecourt for 45 minutes!!!

I just went to the local camping shop and bought a length of hose when my old hose snapped.
I had no idea it was the original hose and so perished - was very lucky!
T'is true tho - quick trip to your local caravan/camping shop will sort you out.

Flexible gas hose has a relatively short life span but is easy to swap over yourself.
If you mean copper hose & fittings then that's a pro job.
Either way if you are at all unsure, get youself to a local caravan/motorhome specialist who will (or should) have the proper accreditation to do it all for you. Your insurance company will have nothing to argue about as long as it's all signed off by a properly qualified installer...

The best bet as said earlier is to take it along to a dealer/repair centre or look up LPG Gas Safety operatives in your local rag, when the hose has been replaced make sure its replaced with the correct hose suitable for LPG & is BS3212 (it should have it stamped on the side of the hose) LPG attacks natural rubber from the inside which is why it has to be the correct hose.
