Diesel Clutch..

Post by pocolow »

Planning a trip to France this summer and I want to replace the Clutch before we go. The Van is a 1990 1.6td...but not a JX series engine. It appears to have been replaced with a 1.6td out of a Golf...the question is is the clutch kit the same as for the JX engines??? ..Any idea's folks

Yes. The clutch is specific to the JX flywheel. (it's got bugger all to do with a golf).

Why are you changing it? Is it slipping?

Hi Ringo , just noticed a slight slip when driving up steeper hills ( pennines)..but fine on the flat. So would this clutch kit fom Brickwerks fit?
