petrol vent lines

one of the things that i told my self that i would do later, well today is later :D
it is the vent line that are mounted on the top of the tank,i cant figure out where they vent too (cant rember either) there dose not look any where for the pipe to connect on too.

dose any one have any ideas

If it the one I'm thinking of it just vents to the atomosphere - it usually tucked up behind the overflow/vent tube covered in crud!
