? yes...put it on the wire first as normal.....
I use a pair of side cutting pliers to crimp over both pairs of 'flaps' lol, then run some solder in the joint.

There is a certain knack in soldering them - the end of the wire is held in by the smallest lugs and then soldered making sure that the insulation holding lugs are not soldered. Then the end lugs are used to hold on to the insulation - this avoids having a stiff piece of wire that could fracture with flexing of the wire. I then use shrink tubing to insulate if needed. (this also gives a different point of flexing thus avoiding the stiff soldered piece)
