Hi all,
I need a photo or sketch showing how the big bumper side brackets (255 807 115) are secured/attached to the body/chassis.

there is a welded bracket on the chassis leg
it has a captaive nut that sits off the chassis

drill a hole in the correct place and use a long bolt and spacer

there are also 2 supports welled inder the top of the bumper

1 at each end on the compression panel to support the bummper, not sue why, perhaps so you can stand on it to clean the window?

I heard that these are not necessary if you have the bumper with 6 or 7 vertical support ribs, I heard this after buying the 2 plates!

Titus, your pop-up roof; is that a homemade job? Looks from the photo that it covers the standard 4' x 4' cut-out most solid hi-tops have.

No mate it's a Reimo jobbie, still available at 1200 euro (I paid 200 on ebay).

Ah ok, it looks very neat and discrete! I think if I ever take off my hi-top I'd replace it with one of those, just ideal for the extra headroom when cooking, etc. Do you have any other photos of it?
