1985 DG Indicators not working.

Help! I'm just trying to get my van ready for it's MOT and the indicators are not working. Last year one side stopped working and then after storing over the winter both sides are not working when using the signal stalk. However when i use the hazards all four lights are working as the should. Not too good with electric and don't want to start fiddling with the steering wheel and stalks if this is something simple that i am missing. Thanks, nick.

Clean the stalk switch contacts up and stop parking it up over winter

Thanks Ian and disreagard last post. Haynes has come to the rescue and the exploded steering wheel /(sounds dangerous) diagram. Will get the wire brush out and see how i get on. Horns got same problem i think and as you say i think it winter break has not been good for it. Cheers, nick.

if you look on the bottom end of the steering column there is an earth wire that may have come off, thats a favorite for the horn not working
