Crankcase TDC sensor
My campervan is an Autosleeper 1900 DG Automatic and the torque converter drive plate has broken up and in doing so the two metal studs that are mounted on the drive plate ( there is a similar arrangement on a manual transmission flywheel) have smashed the TDC sensor that is mounted on the upper face of the crankcase, so is this needed by the ignition system in order for it to work ? or can I simply isolate the wire from the sensor

Re: Crankcase TDC sensor
Wow Taffy, long time no post!
As far as I can remember, nothing uses that sensor except a VW dealer. So don't worry about it.
Regards Mark.
