Hello everyone, can anyone help...
I have a 1990 2.1 multi van and noticed oil dripping from end of gearbox where the mounting bracket is attached. Propped gearbox and took mounting bracket off and there was large hole with rough edges so presume this should not be there! There was a lot of bits of metal in the hole which formed like a spacer. Took off end of box (think this is bell housing?) and the bearing the large arm sits in(one with cogs on) had a few chunks out of it. What i need to know is where i could get a diagram of these to see what i need and there actual names and where i could get them. Also is it worth trying to get the large hole welded up?
i did change the gear oil at christmas and been fine to no problems with changing gear.
Any help would be great...will try upload pics..
Cheers
Mark

Re: leaking gearbox - whats what...
it needs a rebuild, pinion bearing is stuffed, the rest is consequence of being driven into the ground, if the shaft is damaged figure a grand plus, all parts still available
