Great photos. I was in Marrakesh a couple of weeks ago. It looks like you went to the same places as we did! You probably bought the same items that we did too! Did you see the fella selling second hand teeth?

Thanks, ill bob the details on the forum. There are loads of caves available for holiday rent, and they are dirt cheap. Have a look in the 'links' on the cave forum. But beware, youll be wanting to but one!

I've really enjoyed your photos, thanks for sharing them. Mogador has been our main Summer holiday destination for the last 5 years and they've rought back some great memories. It's amazing how it's changed in the few years we'e been visiting though. Nice to see it not too busy - we usually go over for the Gnaoua music festival in June; last year they reckoned about 450,000 people came into the town for it. A bit too many for me to be honest, might give it a miss this year

Accomodation is whatever & where ever during the festival
In our 1st year there were about 80,000 people and last year there were 450,000. It's amazing and all but a couple of shows are free. The hoteliers have cottoned on to it big time though and prices rocket (can't blame them). We usually stay at the Hotel Al Fath which has a roof terrace cafe overlooking one of the main stages, but we couldn't afford it last year - it's run by a lovely couple and I wish them well, top place to sit and listen to the music & drink tea.
Access to the islands is strictly regulated due to the wildlife; you can (in theory) get a permit but it might take a day, or perhaps a week..... It used to be a prison and the only buildings left now are remains of the mosque.
The Hendrix link is a greatly played out tale, he did indeed visit (as did many rock stars of the 60's which is why it's so laid back they tell me) but not until a long time after he wrote "Castles".
