Hi
just serviced my 1.9 early DG engine, which was converted last year to LPG by Steve at Gasure.
It has the square air filter fitted as standard.
Could anyone tell me what the two small pipes are that stick out of the side of the upper part of the air filter housing , next to the main air outlet to the carb. Only one has a pipe fitted to it (the one nearest rear of vehicle). IIRC it used to have two, and I cant see any disconnected pipes waving in the wind!?
Thanks
FW

Re: what's this part for?
Sounds like the vacum pipes that lead from the back of the carb to the temperature valve on the air filter. Switches a valve in the air box depending on temperature of incoming air. Check round the back of the carb for a outlet next to the vacum pipe that goes to the vacum advance on the dizzy. Perhaps this has been blocked off? If not you will have an air leak that could be causing problems.
