1.6 diesel get me going agian

I've been struggling to start my 1.6 diesel, since chritmas it's a 1984 crew cab. It got to the point where it wouldn't start at all, i've fitted a new starter motor which it needed and i've just fitted new glow plugs today and It started first time after fitting them, then another three times during the day but it's back to square one tonight, it wants to fire but just won't go.i Would be greatful if anyone know's a decent diesel mechanic in coventry or the coventry area or any help would be great, if worse come`s to worse what engine would go stright in or with little alterations

Hi as well, the thing I always recommend for the diesel is a non return valve fitted between the filter and the pump a lot on here have found that to be useful next try glow plug relay (as you have already replaced the plugs) also look at the fuse.

Check the Fuel Filter, mine was the same - Fuel filter was full of sediment and blocking the fuel getting through. Changed that and the glow plugs. Fine now

I had a the same problem starting my jx 1.6 TD, i fitted a non return valve and now it starts first time. thsi isthe one i bought on flea bay.
