Cheers mike,
not started mine yet just doing the research and on the pic's on the various posts it is difficult to tell.
So I am taking it that
- on replacement panels the "seam" is actual a 90 degree lip on both panels that butt up to each other? In which case I assume the factory finish would have been spot welded - how do you did it on repair?
- on small "patches" just make up new patch and butt weld
- what about larger panels - thinking i will have to lay in a new section at base of kitchen panel like covkid did. I could see how he used the swage line as a good place to cut too but couldnt tell if he had lapped the join or butt welded. Just wondered what you would do on a large edge like this?
(also might need to do the same on the bottom of one of the doors on my Mustang )
Cheers,
MM

easier than trying to write it, any more you need just ask, many of us have done it and will do again

Thanks Mike,
have re-read it and it does answer some of the questions.
Might ping you again on that thread later rather than hijack Donalds one
