Im fitting a split charge system on saturday, and to save me hunting for ages is there an easy place to pick up the charge warning wire (blue i think??) in the dash area the les. battery is under the seat so saves running long lengths of wire etc!!!
Cheers in advance!

Re: Charge warning wire location in dash area
Hello,
it's pin 11 on the 14 pin multiconnector - can splice from there, but as you say it's blue and pretty easy to find in the loom by the fuse box - depends on which side the battery's going. I soldered a wire onto it behind the fuse box and then run that to the leisure battery.
Hope that helps a bit

Re: Charge warning wire location in dash area
Hello,
sorry I meant the 14 pin multiconnector that connects to the dash pod - at least that's a sure place to find it. Mine's a RHD and when I take out the glove compartment and fuse box, there's a big loom behind it which goes off to the instruments - I found that the blue wire was quite easy to find and separate there and even had enough slack to scrape off some sheathing and solder in a wire to it, and still get heatshrink bound round it. I am always amazed at how reliable the colours of wires are on these vans!
Hope that helps a bit
