Hi van has developed an annoying whistle at higher revs in all four gears it goes when you dip the clutch. Replaced the clutch and thrust release bearing around 8,000 miles ago is it possible it could be a dodgy release bearing or something more sinister?
Thanks in advance
Paul

In case you're driving a turbo diesel it could also be something as simple as a hole in the exhaust that lets you hear the turbo blow-off whistle (which disappers when you dip the clutch and take the pressure off)

Hi my old air-cooled did that when one of the carb base gaskets was slightly loose! Took ages to work out!...worth a look!horizontal kipper wrote:Hi van has developed an annoying whistle at higher revs in all four gears it goes when you dip the clutch.
