hazzard lights

ive just come to use my hazzard lights but they only flash on the nearside , the indicators work fine on there own whats best to check first relay or switch ? is this a common problem ? thanks in advance

Hello,

looking at the wiring diagrams, the indicators send signal through the hazard switch terminals, which is fed from the terminal on the switch which the flasher relay sends. If it's flashing ok with indicators alone, then I'd suspect the switch needs cleaning up. You can disconnect it and clean it up but watch out for springs and ballbearings flying out all over the place!

Ade700,

Mine started doing this, it was the switch itself not the relay. Easy job to change, it doesn't come with the bulb you have to swop it over.

I bought the posh one from vwheritage, but could have got the cheap one as it looks the same to me!
Oh well, I am a sucker for the word deluxe.
