You should all be ashamed of yourself wink wink...

Post by bikermike87 »

Ok folks,

Please take time to read my last post and in particular, your useless attempts to talk me out of buying a syncro.
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=79210

As you can see, the use of postcard pictures and constant use of winks acted like the devil on my shoulder...

Thanks to hours of youtube, syncro forum searching, I have bought myself this!

It was originally Welshdragons' and then LordNorth's

It's a 2.1dj RHD with power steering.

So thanks a lot everyone, my attempts to get a good saving fund going have been completely destroyed

Here's to hoping for a bit more snow this year!

Very nice! First things first - get rid of that silly Volksworld roofrack! Some proper tyres and a prod with a lifting stick next, methinks
Anorak bit: Is that an early interior slider handle or were all panels fitted with them?

Nice tidy van there. Welcome to the owners club.

Have to agree about that roofrack though.

Lovely van. Was that on sale here a while back? Lived in Wales at the time I think. Nice to see a van, untouched!

Keep the roof rack and put a beer keg on it!

Yep,

One 6am flight to Gatwick, a train to Brighton (to nip the bank) then a bus back to Hove to pick the Van up. Then a 250 mile-ish trip back to Chester, trouble free .

I'm driving it to Newcastle tomorrow. Found it to be really thirsty (18mpg) compared to my 1.9 2wd 27mpg. But I imagine the big wheels and tyres aren't helping much. Looking to swap the wheels for smaller ones.
Here are the current wheels....
