Pink lasts longer - 5 yrs
Blue should be changed every 2 years - I use comma super coldmaster in my 1.6 na 1982 diesel
Pink recommended for later / alloy engines
Hope this helps

Re: best antifreeze for 1.6 diesel?
Any organo/acid anti corrosion inhibitor based antifreeze (pink/orange/purple) all have a more stable and so longer lasting base typically 5 year protection.
Darker green/blue antifreezes are based on older formulas and will need changing much sooner 2-3 years.
35 - 40% mix should be fine.
Both are fine but shouldn't be mixed so if you are changing from one type to the other, be sure the whole system is properly flushed through (which should be done anyway to rinse out the slightly acidic remains from the old contaminated mix).
Organo/Acid inhibitor based A/Freezers cost more but offer superior protection over a longer time frame.

mine barely goes more than 1/4 up the scale - runs cool but heater very good,
