If your air filter's that clagged that it's making the poor engine run rich, it's probably about time to replace it anyway!

had new one in at last service last month . as i did the last time but faild . had to take it back to them to get them to put it right .

surely better to fix problem than just try to hide it by taking filter out. what di it fail on, co% hc ?
could just be adjustment and will make engine run better and may even give better performance.
