Washer jet pump

Post by cubensis »

Mine just died, checked the connection on the stalk, thats fine, getting around 11V supply. So i just took the pump off and when testing the two terminals for resistance i get a short. Does this mean the pump is broke? Dont think its right to have a short on a motor is it? Also can you take these motors apart?

Thanks for that, just for the record if anyone looks at this post in the future and you have a GSF near you they are around £7.50 + VAT.

Just took the pump apart, was wet inside and the armature had bonded to the magnet, WD40 and some wet n dry and it seems to be working running fine from the looks of it, although not tried it in the van yet. Pretty easy fix if you can be bothered.
