Gee that's bright - won't miss this van easily

Paint job looks awesome, suppose it wasn't a roller paint job then ,did you do it yourself?

Cellulose or 2 pack?

What did you use on the seams etc to stop rust bubbling through in a couple of years?

Def not a roller ! I used a sata 3000 1.3 chip foose limited edition awesome gun. Yes I did all the prep and paint my self and got the panel beater at work to do the panel work. I used ppg solvent base coat and standox HS clear coat .
Luckily the seams are good just dig out etch then 2k prime then reseal.

Can I ask please, what did you do when painting the fibreglass roof section; I have the self-same design roof and will be respraying my van shortly, using 2 pack solid colour [clear over base]

Also, your roof look to have rubber hold-down toggle straps,am I correct? Did you have those flimsy metal ones before, which were fitted from new by Holdsworth? My metal ones are tired and I get a wind whistle due to a poor seal, which drives me mad, so would like to replace them

Cheers, Doug.

Hi Doug

When i sprayed the fibreglass part of the roof , I sanded it with p320 on a da sander then used a 2k plastic primer from standox (stinks of fish for some reason). then 2k primed it .
I do have the rubber toggle straps, they were already on it when i bought her. They work just fine and have not noticed any wind noise.

Hope that helps feel free to ask any other questions.
