Gear linkage repair kits

Post by samk »

Hi All,

I'm looking to get the bushes replaced in my gear linkage. It loves to rattle around a bit and generally clunk around! I've searched previous posts and am a little confused about what I will need. I've already replaced the plate at the bottom of the lever so it's just the bits for the linkage.

There doesnt seem to be many bits to the JK kit - Will i need more than this?

Or theres this. Is this what I need?

Also, I've read that they're available from VW still. Is that the case? if so is there a special dept that deals with the older vehicles?

Thanks as always to those with greater knowledge than myself!
