Re: oil leak
Its probably your push rod tube seals that need replacing, you can do this with the engine still in place with a Aircooled, i have got to do mine, but i am waiting for the weather to get a bit warmer.

99.9999% certain it will be the push rod tube seals. 8 per side 4 small 4 large. a doddle to do, look in the wiki for help

Re: oil leak
right i have had a good long look around and i have found that it is the rocker cover on the right hand side cylinder head that is leaking, i beleive that when the garage adjusted my tappets they have not replaced gasket , just refitted the old one witch is know leaking,
my question is,
were can i get this gasket? (good quality) , and i cannot see any bolts on the rocker cover just a metal bar across the front of it, how do i remove the rocker cover?? is it just a case of prizing off this metal bar that goes across it? kinda like a ring pull jam jar??
thanks

Re: oil leak
gsf see the gaskets for about a quid.
i used to bed mine with a little grease, yup your right with the spring clip, just use a screwdriver to lever it.

As Jason says,
And leaver it down the way. brute force needed when doing it back up.
