Camp sites on your doorstep
I am nearing the end of my first year of being a T25 year and it is the best thing I ever purchased.
Staying on sites in The Lakes or wherever one chooses is great but for the pure pleasure of using the van to camp in Abbey Farm ccaravan park in Lathom is superb.

Strawberry Wood Caravan Park was great. We did our first ever camp in the van here (to test everything) Camping in the woods was great and the kids loved exploring..

Jarman Farm..is literally a mile from where I live but we had a great pitch by the stream. The facilities are basic but clean, a great spot for a weekend break.

Re: Camp sites on your doorstep
hey...keep em coming Mark.
have you tried Glencote near to Cheadle (staffs)
http://www.glencote.co.uk/
handy for Alton Towers
adjacent to Churnet Valley steam railway.
fishing pond (really good)
the Boat canal side pubs for beers and food.
one of my favourites for a 1 nighter...but gets booked up quick

That looks like a good one, we will give it a try once the bed is back in the van

Driven past Glencote a few times on the way to see the trains, looks nice but what put me off was being next door to the industrial estate on Station Road.

Re: Camp sites on your doorstep
the guy that owns Glencote has another called Royal Vale Caravan Park, Knutsford, Cheshire. Its on the A50 from Holmes Chapel to Knutsford. Very nice site, he's also got an area for tents. There's info on the Glencote website its in the "Other Parks" tab.
