help 1.6 diesel engine keeps cutting out , loss of power

Hi all
Started van tonight , and drove it for 15 mins , and all seems good now. The new filter must have done it , hopefully. Cheers to all who helped , esp Metalmick8y for top tips.
May fit non return valve in future ( cheers Kit )
Now just gotta rectify loss of coolant problem.
Its like lookin after grandpa.

The non return v/v is always worth it as they do drain down especially after a bit of standing.

Where would i get a non return valve (vv) and am I right in thinking it goes between the fuel filter and fuel injector.

I got mine on a length of pipe from a diesel injection specialist cost about £15.

As Kit says,
it would be best and easiest as you say between filter and inj'pump, a lot of folk also fit the priming bulb that is fitted on the pewkgots. dead handy to reprime if you run out and saves battery/starter wear
