The radiator was a 1.2kw oil filled electric jobie which has three heat settings, thermostat, timer, and tilt sensor all for about £25 delivered from ebay

We have a gas one for when hook up isn't an option and it's nice and warm but you can't leave it on overnight and when the temp slipped past -5 a little background heat was welcome

The winter camping side of things is fine and the only chilly bit is the dash to the shower block in the morning (as long as it;s not closed because it's frozen!)

Clothing was a consideration and took up quite a bit of room but we were slightly cautious and could have taken less but the last time we camped in December was NZ and jandles (flip flops!), T shirts and shorts were the order of the day!

Try it this year but stay close to home so you can always bin it if your both not enjoying it!
