Anyone near/around london a dab hand with twin solex carbs?

I've got a problem with my engine in that it's holding back about 30% power. I know it's nothing to do with the clutch and timing has been checked. My local mechanic reckons it could be to do with the carbs. These were running fine (refurbed by steve at gasure about a year ago) but things can change quickly with these vans!

a bit of cash can be bunged your way. Willing to travel a bit. I was planning on taking it to a garage but thought i'd see if I could draw on the mass 80 90 wealth of knowledge first!

it's a 2ltr air cooled.

i have a 1.6 Aircooled and took the carb to small place in the centre of leighton buzzard. dunno the name - and hubby's out.... but i'll ask him and post it later.
they rebuilt the carb and it all came back shiny and powerful (and that's as technical as i get!)

thanks, there were fully refurbed about a year ago so hoping its not that bad. Hopefully just need balancing etc.

Hi Samk, not sure if this will help but the write up on the Solex twins (same ones as t25) in this edition is alot more comprehensive and it could probably borrowed from the library to have a quick look
