Value of a Doka Syncro
Hi Chaps,
I've been a lurker for a while now but could do with a bit of help.
I've been offered an 89 doka syncro thats just been converted to a 1.9 TD inline four, the body is in very good condition with only a tiny bit of surface rust on the locker door and mechanically it seems pretty good and drives real nice. Inside of the cab is ok but not mint. milage is 80,000 with the new motor having been refreshed rings, shells etc.
So what do you think its worth in the real world.
Cheers Ade,

Your better asking when you've got some pics and a bit more info. Most of the one's that look decent seem to be around 5k

Re: Value of a Doka Syncro
Try and work it backwards, say you buy a syncro doka with a 1.6JX for about £3000, bound to need work for that sort of money. £1500 on rust and respray, £1500/£2000 on an AAZ fitted properly so you up to about £6000 with lots of messing around and time spent getting it all sorted. Reckon if its all in order, diff locks etc, no deep seated rust, engine is a good install and service history to boot could be worth between £7000 and £8000. Put some pics up if you strike a deal. Hope it works out. Cheers Rich

Re: Value of a Doka Syncro
million doller question, lhd or rhd not that it makes too much difference, it's more of a personal preference, but good ones can fetch £5k plus so from what you have said any where from £3.5k upwards, i would want some history as the milage is low. mine had 130k on it when i bought it but i had every MOT to back up the milage and i am only the 3rd owner (belonged to the national trust for the first 10 years). i think that the body work is the most inportant thing too look at, has it got the factory paint? dont be too fussy about the interier as on a doka there is not too much, (front seats, bench seat and some door cards) not too much that you can do with it,
get some pics up.
good luck and rember to buy with your head

Cheers Chaps,
Front and rear diffs with aaz motor RHD uk car with service history from first owner till the present owner who bought it 18months ago. 11 months MOT. All the mech side of things are pretty well sorted, and I've just found out its only had two private owners from new. I will have some more info and pics tomorrow.
Once again cheers for the info.
The guy is looking for 6k but has spent just over 9k with with original purchase and conversion.
I've been watching the conversion at the local garage over the last few months so know the truck is pretty sound.
The currant owner has just been made redundant so is looking to shift it pdq
