T25 Coolant Plastic Connection

Post by wolfiemcmullan »

Hi all,

First post on here as just bought a 1.9 T25 1980 Camper and in need of a part. Have left this into my local garage but they say they cannot source it.

The part I'm looking for is the plastic connection at the top of the engine. Think it is the coolant bleeder valve.

Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction or maybe have one of these.

Many thanks in advance.

I assume you are looking for the early valve mark 2?

There is a mk1 valve which is even rarer as that only lasted the first year of watercooled production

try Peter at http://www.wagonbuild.com (email him parts@wagonbuild.com) or Billy739 on here

What has broke? If its the small pipe fitting you may be able to cut the web away to alow you to clamp the hose onto the remaining stump

Look at the image below and you can just make out what I mean.

Now if it's the suffix A automatic version that has 2 extra small pipes then you are really struggling

I would be shocked if none of the two contacts I mentioned don't have one

Hi, thanks for all the quick replies..

The piece I'm looking for is exactly like your pic Cruz.

The leak is actually coming from the centre, around the piece of plastic that holds both larger sections together (If that make sense)

Have sent an email to parts@wagonbuild, let you know how I get on.

Cheers
