i have a devon air cooled camper .all has been good for some years and then the problem started.it start ok and run well . i could drive for one to ten miles then the engine just cuts out. the dash lights come on and the radio still works .i have changed the plugs, leads, router ram and dizzy cap,new coil,new fuel filter and change for nice new fuel.but has not fixed the problem.Battery is good,i have to clean and scrap dizzy cap and router arm then most of the time it start and runs.but then it does it again. do not know what to do now.can anyone help.

What sort of ignition do you have

Have you changed the fuel filter by the tank

2 possibles; fuel starvation with progressive air leak, or heat induced fault in the electrics

Well still not right.new coil.new bits and need to sort it out.well only one thing to do is take the camper to the doctors.rustykampers in st.Nicholas. here she comes.

If you've got twin solex carbs check all the electrical connections are clean and tight. Then check that the valves the wires are connected to are all still screwed tightly into the carb as well.

If the van splutters to halt it's probably a fuel problem, if the engine just "switches off" it's probably electrical.

Change the ignition module, amplifier. Make sure the connecting plug on it has'nt got any broken or bent pins.

Well done everything I can and I think it is fix.but for how long who knows .
What it was? I do not knows.Can any one tell me where I can get a sun canopy from.
Cheaper the better.
